A lot of my clients have been labelled as “crazy” or mad.
They tend to experience a lot of stigma within their communities or in their workplaces and even within their families.
I aim to ‘normalise’ mental illness, and to reduce stigma by encouraging my clients to become mental health ambassadors, and for them to educate people around them about how their illness does not have to limit them and their abilities, and how to use their diagnosis as a strength and opportunity to learn and grow.
Crazy just means that your reality is different from other people's reality. You might think out of the box more, be more creative, or see the world differently. This makes you a disruptor and someone who challenges the norm. Don’t change who you are. But do no harm – to yourself or to others.
Deal with your illness, work on self growth, take your medication, and still be uniquely you.
I am most passionate about mental health and Occupational Therapy.
OT is all about function – functioning to your absolute best ability despite (and even because of) your mental health challenges.

I help people who have been diagnosed with:
-
Depression
-
Bipolar Mood Disorder
-
Anxiety and Panic Disorders
-
Post Traumatic Stress
-
Schizophrenia
-
ADHD
-
Sensory Processing issues
My main aims of treatment are to educate, foster better coping skills and tools to deal with how your symptoms and your condition affect your function in work, relationships, studies and activities of daily living.
